About Us

History

Hideout Hotels was launched in 2023 after Jake Pence & Caleb Sloan acquired the 20-acre Cookeville location formerly known as Sulfur Ridge Treehouse from Trent & Susan Dyer. With a background in real estate private equity, Jake & Caleb saw an opportunity to enter the outdoor hospitality space by redeveloping & rebranding the property to cater to those seeking to unplug from the real world and spend time outdoors to reset both physically and mentally. We broke ground on our first location in the fall of 2023 before opening to the public in July 2024.
